Start it early after Class X

One of the common queries in our minds after board exam is what is next? Recently many students have finished their board exams and some are still appearing. Some have appeared in secondary and others in senior secondary examinations.
After Class X, one of the most worrying things is to choose next stream of education. Selecting a good career has been a challenge for many. But with proper planning and necessary information we could choose or select the best career options for us. It’s important to choose our career from an early age and the best to choose the professional courses or regular education comes after we pass senior secondary examination.
There are many career options after Class XII according to our interest and subject that we take in senior secondary. For getting admission into different courses we need to appear for some entrance examinations. Some colleges also take admission on the basis of the marks. In today’s edition, we are publishing some options after Class X. Some of the entrance examinations after Class XII are as follows:

Defence Entrance: Students can appear for National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Entrance Examination after passing Class XII. Students from any stream can appear for the NDA examination. For Air Force or Navy students must have physics and maths in passing examination. Students from Arts and Commerce can opt for Army only. This exam in conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

ITI/Polytechnic Courses: After Class students may choose different courses available at different Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI). Students may join these institutes through entrance and counseling process.

Nursing: In nursing one can do courses like B Sc, GNM, ANM, etc. After passing class XII students can take admission in nursing courses, For B Sc, students must be from science background and for GNM it is preferable to be from science stream. However students from arts stream may also take admission in GNM and ANM courses.

Law Entrance: Student can take admission in the integrated law course which are offered by reputed law schools/universities or different law colleges in the country. Students from any background passing class XII can appear in law entrance test. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted for admission into reputed institute.
Fashion Entrance: One of the lucrative careers which are liked by youngsters of modern years is into fashion designing or related field. Fashion and Technology has a wide scope for choosing a career. Top most institutes like NIFT, NID etc conduct entrance examination for admission to their various courses.
We shall publish about options after Class XII and beyond in our coming editions. Engineering and medical entrances are well known, so, I have not written much about it in this article.

Charpak Master’s Scholarship 2018 for Indian Students in France: Campus France announced Charpak Master’s Program for the year 2018 to study courses at France for all streams and field of study. This scholarship is designed for one to two years, (September-June, 10 months per academic year) of studies in France at the Master’s degree level for all streams and fields of study. Charpak Scholarship 2018 for Master’s Program is organized by the Embassy of France in India in Memory of Georges Charpak who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1992. Deadline for submission of application is April 15.

Italian Government Scholarships: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers grants in favour of foreign citizens not residing in Italy for the academic year 2018-19 in order to foster international cultural, scientific and technological cooperation, to promote Italian language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the world. Grants are offered to pursue study, training, and/or research programs at Italian Higher Education Institutes, both public and legally recognized. Aspirants may apply on or before April 30.
