JOWAI: Former MLA Herbert Suchiang , who passed away on Sunday will be laid to rest on Tuesday.
Late Suchiang hailing from Shangpung was a cabinet minister in 1988 in the DD Lapang led government of the Indian National Congress. He was also the Chief Executive Member of the JHADC in 2001. Prior to his political career he was a member of the Indian Audit and Account Services.
The funeral of Suchiang will be held at 12.30 noon.
His last rites will be performed by the Mynthong Presbyterian Church and he will be buried at the Church cemetery at Khimmusniang.
