Completion certificate for 4-lane highway

New Delhi: The long delayed Shillong-Guwahati four lane national highway has finally received the completion certificate, official sources said on Friday.
The four laning of the 62 km Jorabat Barapani section of NH 40 was sanctioned on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) pattern under the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme – North East (SARDP – NE). The project was awarded to Jorabat Shillong Expressway Limited (JSEL), a joint venture of Ramky Infrastructure Limited and IL&FS in the ratio of 50:50 by the National Highways Authority of India.
JSEL will receive a semi-annual annuity of Rs.72.51 crore for a period of 17 years, the sources said.
